eNVy Condominiums
Located at 70 N Street SE, Washington, DC 20003 | Navy Yard
While the name with its unusual sequence of upper and lower case letters might seem puzzling at first, eNVy is simply one of several new luxury condominiums in a rapidly transitioning waterfront region. Does the spelling indicate the potential envy others may have of this hipster building in the Navy Yard neighborhood? Or perhaps it’s the envy of owning a condo residence overlooking Nationals Park, home of MLB’s Washington Nationals team.
Designed by the firm of Hord Coplan Macht, the contemporary eNVy was completed in 2020, with 127 condo units across 11 levels. The hybrid complex also includes the Kelvin with 310 upscale apartment rentals, as well as 60,000 square feet of street level retail plus underground parking. The ambitious project takes up most of a city block along N Street, between Half Street and First Street SE, and is one of multiple recent developments in a neighborhood becoming both a visitor destination as well as an increasingly popular place to live. Other recently completed condominiums in the Navy Yard area include Avidian, the Bower, and Peninsula 88.

From redesigned streetscape surfaces to an incredible landscaped roof deck, eNVy is a major undertaking that has received a lot of attention. Condo residences range from studio to three-bedroom floorplans, with sizes between 546 and nearly 1,200 square feet. That said, one-bedroom models account for a major portion of the inventory.
