Modern Condo Features at Dupont West
The architectural design of Dupont West is quite reminiscent of both the International and mid-century modern movements that were popular a few years before the construction of the building. This is especially notable in themes of cubism, and the wide, rectangular balconies that wrap around the structure.
The condos themselves come in a variety of sizes and floorplans, with one and two-bedroom units ranging from around 625 to almost 1,000 square feet of living space. The layouts are sunny and open, with extra-wide windows as well as large sliders leading out to the covered balconies. Some units have gas fireplaces, and most have updated galley kitchens that are either open or semi-open to the living and dining areas. Bathrooms are also nicely appointed, and the units have washers and dryers as well. Other contemporary condominiums in Dupont Circle include Church Place, the Apolline, and Georgetown Overlook.
As the name implies, Dupont West is located in the western part of the neighborhood. Indeed, the building is a half-block from 22nd Street which marks the border between Dupont Circle and its next-door neighbor, the West End. The pet-friendly building is also quite close to the Ukraine Independence Peace Park, and the larger Rock Creek greenbelt which includes Francis Park and the off-leash Francis Dog Park.
